There is no right or wrong

Every Shibari session offers space and time to engage with your innermost desires, without there being a “right” or “wrong.” Shibari knows no boundaries—it is an endless opportunity to discover yourself and one another. As a Shibari teacher, I see my role as providing a safety framework and a potential source of inspiration for my students. I follow a non-dogmatic approach—everything is allowed as long as it brings joy. Which path you choose ultimately depends on your creativity, your skills, and your enjoyment of Shibari.

Rope is for everyone

In Shibari, we distance ourselves from societal role models because it is about finding individual solutions for personal desires and needs. It doesn’t matter what gender you have, how old you are\*, what sexual orientation you live, or whether you have a disability or pre-existing condition—you too will find your very own path in Shibari.

*All participants must be at least 18 years old.

Verantwortung & Safer Spaces

Mie Neko is a feminist organization dedicated to creating a safer space for people with backgrounds of discrimination (FLINTA\* individuals, LGBTQIA+ community, fat people, BIPoC, people with disabilities, and others) to learn and practice Shibari. People who are not part of these groups are also warmly welcome to participate in the classes, provided they respect this safer space and contribute to making everyone feel comfortable.
